The mission of the Bernards PEC is to provide the support that families, educators and community organizations need to help individuals with disabilities reach their full potential.
An essential component of Parents for Exceptional Children is to provide a supportive environment for parents and families. We strive to improve the experience for children in need of special education and promote inclusion for all children within their educational environment in the Bernards Township community.

Our Mission
To provide families with the skills and support they need to help their child with special needs reach his/her full potential. Our hope is for families to feel less isolated and more confident about themselves and their role as advocates. Our objectives include the following: educating ourselves about special education rights and our role as advocates for our children, networking to learn more about the services that are available within and outside our district, offering emotional support for parents when they learn their child has special needs and partnering with the school district to ensure quality programs and positive outcomes for our children.
Volunteer
We are always looking for parent volunteers to assist the PEC in so many different ways. We welcome anyone who would like to donate their time, no matter how much or how little!
